Gone in 60 Seconds: Savory Beef Roast
We love a good roast in the winter time. I bought one this week, but I didn’t have a recipe for it.. so I decided just to make one up. I don’t have a picture (we basically swallowed it whole), but it comes highly recommended! Serve it with mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, polenta or even noodles. You could also add potatoes into the recipe (we didn’t have any on hand).
Savory Beef Roast
1 eye round roast
1 can tomato sauce
1- 1 1/2 cups water
1 onion, chopped
3-4 celery stalks, chopped
3-4 carrots, peeled and chopped
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
handful of brown sugar
sprinkle of thyme
sprinkle of paprika
sea salt and pepper
Put all of the ingredients into a slow cooker. Cook on high for 6-8 hours or until roast is fully cooked.
